WELCOME TO BEAUTIFUL
NEWBURY PARK!

Welcome to Newbury Park, voted by CNN as one of the Top 100 places to live
for 2005.  While Newbury Park is an incorporated city on its own, it is very much considered a part of the community of the City of Thousand Oaks

The area also encompasses the lovely city of
Westlake Village and is considered THE premier destination, northwest of Los Angeles.

Thousand Oaks rests 12 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean in a mountainous plateau 900´ above sea level. The area enjoys a westerly flow of air off the ocean, keeping the air cooler and fresher than in the urban areas of downtown and even in the nearby San Fernando Valley.

Thousand Oaks is a multi-facted, multi-cultural, and inviting community.  The city is at once a thriving business district, offering high class and attractive shopping and services, and also a cozy and relaxed family-oriented "town".

Citizens of Thousand Oaks are committed to preserving the city's idyllic setting that provides a rural-like quality of life.  The City is nestled within the rolling hills of the Conejo Valley nearby the Santa Monica mountains, which provides approximately 500,000 acres of State Park to the south.  The Conejo Valley has designated approximately 14,000 square acres around one-third of the City as designated open space which is managed by the
Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency to insure quality of life for years to come. The City of Thousand Oaks is also home to numerous parks, and over 75 miles of hiking and walking trails.

In addition to nature and it's educational and spiritual offering, Newbury Park boasts award-winning
Conejo Valley Schools and shares the architectural landmark  Thousand Oaks City Library, one of the largest per capita for a US city of comparable size.

Another source of pride for this beautiful city is the
Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.  This reknowned cultural arts center has become a beacon for the region, featuring world-class entertainment, musicals, concerts, children´s shows, ballets, lectures series, and much more.

Year-round
temperatures in Newbury Park, CA average 70 to 83 degrees during the summer months and 55 to 69 degrees during the winter months.
